The Salazar Family

Jose and Karla Salazar are the owners of our New Port Richey location. Jose started working for Carmelita’s when he was 19 years old and worked for us for several years before returning to Mexico to marry his wife Karla. During the time he was employed by Carmelita’s he worked his way up from busser to manager. Their dream was to own their own business, and in 2008, Jose and Karla opened up the New Port Richey location. They have two children Sebastian and Sofia. Jose and Karla continue to provide their customers with the fresh, homemade Mexican food, and great customer service that has made Carmelita’s a Bay area staple.
